Founded in 1941, the USO has played a vital role in boosting morale and patriotism by presenting live entertainment to U.S. armed forces and their families. In the spirit of the meaningful performances that touched countless lives during World War II, the National WWII Museum’s Victory Belles will present two exciting sets of song and dance (one at 12 pm and another at 3 pm) in the New-York Historical Society’s Robert H. and Clarice Smith New York Gallery of American History.

Living History Days, 10 am - 5 pm: Do you want to know what life was like in 1776? Bring your family and join the New-York Historical Society as we celebrate the founding of our nation! Speak with Benjamin Franklin firsthand about his experiments with lightning and electricity, his inventions, his involvement with Congress in drafting the Declaration of Independence, and more! Meet members of the Continental unit, the 2nd New York Provincial Battalion, and learn about the battles that won America’s independence.
