Little New-Yorkers in August and September

September 2 and 5: Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans
Starting with the classic tale that introduces us to the character, we will find out how brave Madeline really is. Even a trip to the hospital is fun! Children will then make a Madeline charm bracelet.

September 9 and 12: Madeline’s Rescue by Ludwig Bemelmans
This week we meet Madeline’s faithful dog Genevieve, and see just how heroic she really is. Children will then make a Genevieve bag.

September 16 and 19: Madeline in London by Ludwig Bemelmans
This week Madeline and her friends travel to London! Join them as they explore the city, traditions and even make a new friend. Children will then make a tea set.

September 26: Madeline Loves Animals by John Bemelmans Marciano
This week we’re learning a bit more about Madeline and meet a few of her animal friends, even the lion! Children will then make a Madeline charm bracelet.

September 30 and October 3: Once Upon a Banana by Jennifer Armstrong
This week in Little New-Yorkers we find out just how much trouble one little monkey (who really wants a banana) can make! Children will then make banana monkey wrap.
