Little New-Yorkers in July
June 24 and 27: New York Baby! by Ward Jenkins
This week we’ll see all that New York has to offer with a super adventurous baby! We will then make summer inspired ice-cream brooches.
July 1 and 4: Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans
Starting with the classic tale that introduces us to the character, we will find out how brave Madeline really is. Even a trip to the hospital is fun! Children will then make a Madeline cape.
July 8 and 11: Madeline and the Bad Hat by Ludwig Bemelmans
This week has Madeline met her match? And who is this Bad Hat? Come and find out and make your very own Madeline hat.
July 15 and 18: Madeline Loves Animals by John Bemelmans Marciano
This week we’re learning a bit more about Madeline and meet a few of her animal friends, even the lion! Children will then make a Madeline charm bracelet.
July 22 and 25: Madeline and Her Dog by John Bemelmans Marciano
This week we meet Madeline’s faithful companion Genevieve, and follow him while he gets up to mischief. Children will then make a Genevieve bag.
July 29 and August 1: Madeline’s Tea Party by John Bemelmans Marciano
This week Pepito is back. While Madeline wants to have a tea party, Pepito has other ideas up his sleeve. Children will then make a tea set.
