Camp History: Civil War in Minecraft

Tuesday, February 16 to Friday, February 19 or Tuesday, March 29 to Friday, April 1 from 9 am – 4 pm

Current 6th, 7th, and 8th graders 

$500 ($400 Members)

 Bring your Minecraft creativity to our Civil War camp! Each day, campers will learn about the lives of soldiers and technology of the day through hands-on training by Civil War experts and through guided exploration of our Library’s rich collections. Campers will also discover the galleries and see our groundbreaking exhibition Silicon CityPixel Academy instructors will then help campers use their 21st-century knowledge to code their own Minecraft Mod in which they will create a Civil War soldier and encampment. By the end of the week, each camper will have their own digital Civil War universe, a real-life military knapsack full of handmade 1860s necessities, and a mind full of knowledge of life during the Civil War.

Cancellation policy: Full refunds minus a $50 processing fee will be granted to registrants who cancel by January 15, 2016. No full or partial refunds will be granted after that date.
