Living History Days at N-YHS
Living History: Continental Army Cavalry
Saturday, December 10th, 2016 | 11:00 am

Free with Museum Admission
Recommended for all ages

Every weekend through January 8, meet fascinating living historians and reenactors who bring the American Revolution to life inside the Museum, presented in conjunction with our groundbreaking exhibition, The Battle of Brooklyn.

On December 10, meet reenactors from the Second Continental Light Dragoons, an organization that brings to life the first Congressionally authorized cavalry regiment in American history. (In fact, it is still recognized as an active unit in the military!) They will be stationed at the Museum to answer your questions about fighting on horseback. Take a close look at the special helmets, a military saddle, and other equipment they used, or watch a saber drill!

Don’t forget to pick up our Battle of Brooklyn Family Activity Guide and explore the exhibition to see other special equipment used by soldiers!
