Living History: Happy Birthday, Mr. Lincoln!
Sunday, February 12th, 2017 | 11:00 am

Free with Museum Admission
Recommended for all ages

On Abraham Lincoln’s 208th birthday, join us at the Museum to celebrate the Emancipation Proclamation and Black History Month! Families can meet President Lincoln, portrayed by living historian Howard Wright, who will tell stories all about his time in the White House. And meet the 6th Regiment of Infantry, United States Colored Troops, historical reenactors who portray African Americans who joined the Union Army, like many others, after Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Experience a military drill with the 6th Regiment, look inside Honest Abe’s top hat, or try to tell time on his special pocket watch!
