This weekend we’re traveling through time to New York before the American Revolution, back when it was called New Amsterdam! Learn all about Dutch New York in the new North Gallery of our fourth-floor Henry Luce III Center.
On Saturday meet citizens of the city before it was called New York, portrayed by living historians Michael and Maria Grillo. Listen to stories about life in New Amsterdam, take a close look at their 17th-century clothing, and explore some of their common, everyday tools and accessories!
Come back on Sunday to continue celebrating early New York with music and storytelling by the Hudson River Ramblers!
