Recommended for all ages

We’re celebrating Presidents’ Day over School Vacation Week! Join us on the weekends to meet the founders who became our nation’s five first presidents and first ladies.

On Saturday, February 18, kick off Presidents’ Day Weekend by celebrating Washington’s 285th birthday a few days early! Talk to George about his inauguration right here in New-York, and ask Martha how she welcomed everyday citizens to the first presidential household. Once you’ve posed for a portrait with the first family, explore the uniforms and equipment of the special guard, the 2nd Continental Light Dragoons, who General Washington almost never traveled without during the American Revolution.
