Recommended for all ages

We’re celebrating Presidents’ Day over School Vacation Week! Join us on the weekends to meet the founders who became our nation’s five first presidents and first ladies.

On Saturday, February 25, meet the architect of the Constitution, James Madison! You’ll also meet Dolley Madison, who protected important objects in the White House when Washington, D.C., was attacked during the War of 1812. Ask our fourth commander-in-chief, President Madison, about this controversial conflict that came to bear his name, and don’t forget to sit down with the first lady to learn what actions she took to improve the function of the White House before ‘Mr. Madison’s War.’

 About the Living Historians
Actor, writer, director, and producer Kyle Jenks got his start in theatre after reenacting the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War in 2003. He became a first-person interpreter of Mr. Madison after he produced and starred in three productions of Drums Along the Mohawk, an outdoor historical drama near his home in upstate New York.

Judith Kalaora is a professional educator, actress, and historical interpreter. She founded History At Play TM in 2010 to provide educational entertainment, chronicling the lives of influential and oft forgotten women.  Judith researches, writes, produces, and performs the programs.
