We’re celebrating Presidents’ Day over School Vacation Week! Join us on the weekends to meet the founders who became our nation’s five first presidents and first ladies.
On Saturday, February 25, meet the architect of the Constitution, James Madison! You’ll also meet Dolley Madison, who protected important objects in the White House when Washington, D.C., was attacked during the War of 1812. Ask our fourth commander-in-chief, President Madison, about this controversial conflict that came to bear his name, and don’t forget to sit down with the first lady to learn what actions she took to improve the function of the White House before ‘Mr. Madison’s War.’
