Mo Willems Family Day
Sunday, September 18th, 2016 | 11:00 am

Free with Museum Admission
All Ages

Come see the special exhibition The Art and Whimsy of Mo Willems and explore New York through the lens of Mo Willems—just like Knuffle Bunny! Kids can make a Mo-inspired craft, listen to stories, get a Statue of Pigeon tattoo, and snap photos with Elephant and Piggie!

Bilingual Sunday Story Time
11:30 am
Start your visit with us in the Barbara K. Lipman Children’s History Library as we are joined by a special guest from our friends at Planet Han Chinese. This Sunday, we will be reading the classic Mo Willems’ book Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! in English and Chinese. Our bilingual story time will be followed by a quick Chinese vocabulary lesson and a special craft.

Craft Time
12:30 – 3:30 pm
Time to get creative! Bring your favorite storybook characters to life with drop-in activities inspired by the art of Mo Willems.

Meet Elephant and Piggie
12:30 – 3:30 pm
Be on the lookout for Elephant and Piggie! These beloved Mo Willems characters will be roaming our galleries in the afternoon and happy to pose for a photo with their biggest little fans.

Mo Reads!
1 pm
Meet Mo and his friends during our final Mo Reads! Mo will be at the New-York Historical Society with authors Dan Santat and Laurie Keller to introduce two books in the brand new series Elephant and Piggie Like Reading!

Mo Signs!
2 pm
After the readings and a short Q&A, families will have the chance to get their favorite books signed by the authors!
