Special Black History Month Sunday Story Time: Firebird
Sunday, February 12th, 2017 | 11:30 am

Free with Museum Admission
Ages 3–7

February is Black History Month. Join us this week to read Firebird by Misty Copeland, the second ever African-American soloist from American Ballet Theatre.

In the book, Misty inspires young dancers to be dedicated and work hard. Christopher Meyers’ illustrations are beautifully collaged and capture the essence of Misty’s grace and eloquent poetry.

Firebird written by Misty Copeland. Illustrated by Christopher Meyers, 2014.
