Join us for a special Saturday story time and meet children’s author Samantha R. Vamos! She will be reading her latest book Alphabet Trains, along with a few others, and holding a book signing in honor of the exhibition Holiday Express: Toys and Trains form the Jerni Collection.  

About Alphabet Trains

It’s time for a train ride through the alphabet! Climb aboard the alphabet train and learn all about the wide world of trains from A to Z! 

About the Author

Samantha R. Vamos is an award-winning children’s picture book author of an alphabet transportation series including Alphabet Trains (Charlesbridge, 2015, Ryan O’Rourke), the IRA-CBC Children’s Choices-Alphabet Trucks (2013), and the forthcoming Alphabet Boats (2017), as well as The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred (Charlesbridge, 2011, Rafael López)—2012 Pura Belpré Illustration Honor, and Before You Were Here, Mi Amor (Viking, 2009, Santiago Cohen)—2010 WA State Book Award. Samantha attended Georgetown University Law Center (L’89) and practiced law in Washington, D.C., and Chicago, IL.  http://www.samanthavamos.com
