Ages 3–7

In conjunction with our museum-wide Citizenship Project, Sunday Story Time is featuring stories about immigration thoughout the month of May. This week we are reading Abuela by Arthur Dorros.

Rosalba imagines that she and her abuela can fly.  The two take off on an adventure over New York City as abuela shows her granddaughter all the things she encountered when she immigrated. They fly over factories, trains, parks, docks, and even the Statue of Liberty!

Abuela written by Arthur Dorros, illustrated by Elisa Kleven, 1991.
