Host your child's next birthday in the DiMenna Children's History Museum! Your child and his or her friends will be transformed into History Detectives, unearthing clues about our past. Parties are programmed for ages 4–12. Birthday party hosts must be a Member of the New-York Historical Society at the Family level of $150.00 or above. Additional fees apply to host a party.

History Hunt
Ages 4–7
90-minutes
Guests wind their way through the exhibits in the DiMenna Children’s History Museum, looking for clues in a fun interactive hunt. Guests will then participate in a custom-themed art project and have the use of a decorated party space in which to celebrate with the birthday child.

History Expedition
Ages 8–12
2 hours
Older children will be challenged to search throughout the entire museum, following written clues in order to locate certain items in the collection. Small groups will work together to answer questions in this more elaborate hunt. Everyone will also gather in the theater to view New York Story, an eighteen-minute theatrical media experience exploring the rise of New York from a remote outpost to a city at the center of the world. A custom-themed art project and the use of a decorated party space in which to celebrate with the birthday child are also included in this package.

• DiMenna Children's History Museum party space rental
• Admission to the New-York Historical Society and DiMenna Childrens History Museum for children and adults
• Admission to view New York Story (the eighteen-minute film showing in the theater)

Parties are for twelve children. Guests may be added for an additional cost of $30 per person, with a maximum of thirty children. Events at the DiMenna Children's History Museum can be held Tuesday through Friday afternoons between the hours of 2:30-5 pm. or on Sunday afternoon between 1-4:30 pm. Parties may be held on Mondays, when the Museum is closed to the public, for an additional fee.

Fifty percent of the base price is due upon booking the party, with the balance of the contract due on the date of the party. American Express, MasterCard and Visa cards are accepted.
