Model pp 100F series C horn removed from Rescue 2 truck.
Gift of Fire Department of New York City
This air horn and other parts of the Rescue 2 Compnay "rig" were salvaged at the Fresh Kills Landfill, in consultation with the Fire Department of New York and the men of Rescue 2. Located since 1985 at 1472 Bergen St. in Bedford Stuyvesant,Brooklyn, this elite company arrieved at the unfolding World Trade Center tragedy on the morning of September 11, 2001, little more than fifteen mimutes after hearing the alarm. All seven firefighters aboard the truck that day died.
