Description 
Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Commander badge consists of a pale blue enamel cross surmounted by a crown. A gold central medallion bordered in red bears portraits of King George V and Queen Mary. Its reverse shows the royal monogram surmounted by a crown.

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire was established by King George V in 1917, the first year of his reign, for service to the British Empire. The Order has five classes and a medal. The Commander (CBE) is one of the five orders.
