Bottom medal hangs from ribbon in elongated octagon shape; inscribed in blue enamel "N.Y.S.F.A./ DUNKIRK NEW YORK"; central fire hose borders image of indian in canoe with log cabin in background, inscribed "1804"; images of cowboy and indian at top and locomotives at bottom flanked by firefighters on ladders and allegorical figures of lady liberty; top and bottom images of unidentified men with inscription "1904."
