Description:
Bayonet with steel blade that is cruciform in cross-section, pressure-release clip, and brass grip; steel scabbard with rectangular loop and ball finial.
Gallery Label:
According to the accession records, this bayonet belonged to Captain Harry A. Ely (d. 1926). Ely served as a 1st lieutenant or captain in the Spanish-American War, and as an artillery instructor in World War I.
