Text on back panel reads: "Rubens / Crayola / The Only Crayon / Which Artists Consider / A Substitute For oil & Water Colors & Pastels / Will Not Blur / Will Not Wash Nor / Rub Off / Studies Made With It / Can Be Varnished / Unequalled for Out- / Door Sketching" Text on side panels reads: "Made Under Improved French Process".
