Description: 
Circular gold mourning brooch; hair worked in a Turk's knot beneath glass oculus, surrounded by 14 (originally 16) circular, faceted, polished jet stones creating a scalloped outer edge which is beaded on obverse; reverse has hinged pin and hook, inscription across the center.
