This pin was distributed to "friends" of NYC2012 to be worn in support of the 2012 Olympic Games being held in New York City. On July 15, 2003, the city officially entered the international competition against other world-class cities including Havana, Istanbul, Leipzig, London, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, and Rio de Janeiro.
