Silver struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Washington facing right with surrounding inscription: "GEORGE WASHINGTON./BORN FEB. 22 1732. DIED DEC. 14 1799". Reverse depicts bust of Washington surmounting display of medals in the mint cabinet: "WASHINGTON CABINET OF MEDALS. U.S. MINT/INAUGURATED FEB. 22 1860".
