JImmy Walker signed cane.
New York City Mayor Jimmy Walker, known as Beau James, was one of the more colorful mayors in the city's history. He was driven from office by an investigation commission appointed by Governor Franklin Roosevelt. Walker was a frequent visitor to Broadway and speakeasies. This ebony and ivory cane was signed by the Mayor and was probably given out during visits to friends or supporters.
