Gallery Label 
Folk artist Ubiracy DaSilva was born in Brazil in 1947 and came to the U.S. at a young age. In response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, he carved this cane by hand out of a single piece of oak and painted it with imagery referring to the tragic event.
