Reverse shows naval battle scene with legend: "CAPTURE OF THE BRITISH SHIP PENGUIN/BY THE U.S. SHIP HORNET" and inscription below exergual line: "OFF TRISTAN D'ACUNHA/MARCH XXIII/MDCCCXV"
