Sterling silver struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of Archbishop John M. Farley facing left within central roundel with ornate border, above -- dove symbolizing Holy Spirit, below -- cross with grape vines and ears of wheat; around central roundel are six busts of archbishops with their names in legend around border, separated by stylized crosses, clockwise: "ABP.M.CORRIGAN/ABP. J. HUGHES/B.P.CONNOLLY. O.P./BP.CONCANEN.O.P./ BP.J.DVBOIS/CARD.ABP.McCLOSKEY." Reverse shows Gothic-style cathedral building surrounded by ornate border with four oval medallions containing coats of arms and suspended upon laurel wreath; legend: "CENTENARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DIOCESE OF NEW YORK/1808 1908."
