Description 
Olive brown wool single-breasted Corps of Engineers officer's coat; double collar with shallow lapels, "U.S." insignia on right corner of collar, Engineer's insignia of triple-tureted castle on corner of each lapel; shoulder loops which button at the collar end; 4 buttons down the front (3 original remaining); 3rd Army shoulder patch on the right side, with white "A" on blue ground encircled with red, closed sleeves (no cuffs) with olive brown lacing around each wrist; 4 pockets on the front with flaps which button closed, color bar over upper left pocket; skirt slightly flaired; 2 panels at the back; front buttons and shoulder buttons cast with the Great Seal of the U.S.; front panels, sleeves and shoulder yoke lined with brown silk, vertical slit pocket at left breast.
