Engraving: all pieces engraved with Moresque-style floral and foliate scrolls, medallions, and arabesques with copper inlay across body surfaces, and each has engraved script cipher of FAH at center front medallion reserve.
Silver coffee service in the Islamic style consisting of a black coffeepot, sugar bowl with lid, creamer and tray; squat circular lower bodies flared in the center to plain applied bands; plain, scalloped bands around rims; onion dome lids; ivory finials and insulators; all over floral scroll engraving in an Islamic style with copper inlay; "F A H" engraved in the front reserves in script; makers' marks on the bases.
Service was purchased by NYHS through Shrubsole with monies from Robert G. Goelet Fund for $5,082 at Christie's, Dec. 1983. No further documentary information accompanied service.
