Dark-eyed Junco, female, above; Dark-eyed Junco, male, center; Clay-colored Sparrows, male, below; all were used for Havell plate no. 398, along with a Lazuli Bunting (Passerina amoena), inserted at upper left from watercolor 1863.17.394 and a plant drawn by Maria Martin (1796 - 1863).
