Dress hat with black wool felt crown with flat, oval top, black velvet band with oak leaves and acorns embroidered in gold metallic thread, and black patent leather visor with similar embroidered motif; gold embroidered insignia in the form of a shield-breasted eagle surmounted by a banner and a circle enclosing thirteen stars; chin strap made of gold metallic cloth tape secured at either side by a button with insignia similar to type embroidered on front of hat.
