White paper dust mask with blue elastic strap
Dust mask used by Stephen A. Weiner on the morning of September 11th. He had grabbed the mask from a first aid kit in his residential apartment in Battery Park City, at the perimeter of the World Trade Center. He retraced his wife's commute that morning until he found her safely at work on the Upper West Side. He later donated the mask to the N-YHS, where it became known as "Accession One: 9/11/01."
