Marks: 
Stamped: on the underside of each handle stem: a Danish "three tower mark" in oval surround; maker's mark "IS" in rectangular surround; and "SG" framed by circle in circular surround.
Description: 
Pair of silver and gilt egg spoons with twisted stems with foliate medallions with cherub's head finials; ovoid and foilate joints; pear-shaped bowls; maker's and assay marks stamped on the underside of the stems.
Gallery Label: 
Donor records suggested that these spoons belonged to Martha Washington, however, the hallmarks on each indicate that they were produced and assayed in Denmark, perhaps for export, after 1893.
