stamped: inside left temple: "ZYLO WARE"
Eyeglasses with black cellulose acetate (Zyl) frames, circular tempered glass lenses connected by a curved bridge; temple bars bend back over ears.
These glasses, in the "Code" series, were made around 1930 in the Long Island City factory of Zyloware Eyewear. Founded in 1923, the firm took its name from the durable lightweight material, zyl, commonly used in eyeglass frames.
