Gift of Andre Cox
According to a letter sent to the NYHS by John Condon, firefighter Andre Cox of Ladder Company 43 designed a purple bunting addition to the FDNY department logo patch as a memorialized addendium for those department members who suffered grevious losses. At the time the letter was sent, this design had not been officially aproved by the FDNY.
