Large aluminum and copper flag covered with scratchings and words of New Yorkers and visitors of Union Square after the September 11th attacks.
This memorial flag was originally created for and sold to a client after the September 11th attack. For the artist, the flag became a way to get involved and include others in the process of grieving. The flag was taken to Union Square Park where people scratched names, phrases, or whatever else they felt they needed to voice on the aluminum and copper skin of the piece.
