Brass, silk, and metal gorget; rounded, V-shaped brass gorget lined with red silk on interior, metal gold thread suspended from hole at top right, and cast crown applied to front center.

According to accession records, this gorget was part of a uniform worn by the donor's father, Emilio Buch, while serving in the 2nd Battalion, Cazadores Voluntarios de Matanzas, as part of Spanish forces during the Cuban insurrection of 1867.
