Metal and glass inkwell (part of desk set); square form on ball feet with hinged round lid; octagonal colorless glass insert; metal frame with beaded edges holds panels of mottled green glass; frame cut with design of vines and leaves.

The "Etched Metal and Glass" desk set, as it was called in Tiffany Studios' 1920 catalog, was one of more than fifteen desk set patterns offered at the Tiffany Studios' showrooms. Patterns included as many as thirty different pieces, allowing clients to customize their own sets.
