Gold struck medal with obverse showing figure of sculptress holding chisel and statue of female winged figure flanked by laurel branches; legend above: "ISIDOR.MEMORIAL.MEDAL."; below is tablet inscribed: "AWARDED TO/SERGEANT KENDALL, N.A." Reverse shows seated figure of woman in front of easel, painting young nude male model standing on pedestal; legend: "NATIONAL.ACADEMY.of.DESIGN." Square brown leather fitted case with cream-colored silk velvet and silk satin lining.
