Joseph Florimond, duc de Loubat (1837-1921) was a wealthy American bibliophile, author, sportsman, and philanthropist whose title was awarded in 1893 by Pope Leo XIII in return for his generosity to the Church. Loubat is the author of the "Medallic History of the United States of America 1776-1786."
