Metal and glass letter opener (part of desk set); tear-drop shaped metal handle enclosing mottled green glass; both sides cut with design of leaves and vines; beaded edge; solid metal opener blade tapering to pointed end.

The "Etched Metal and Glass" desk set, as it was called in Tiffany Studios' 1920 catalog, was one of more than fifteen desk set patterns offered at the Tiffany Studios' showrooms. Patterns included as many as thirty different pieces, allowing clients to customize their own sets.
