Reverse bears inscription within laurel wreath: "QUOD/PARVA MILITUM MANU/STRENUE PROSECUTUS HOSTES/VIRTUTIS INGENITAE/PRAECLARUM SPECIMEN DEDIT/IN PUGNA AD COWPENS/XVII.JAN.MDCCLXXXI."
