Silver struck medal with obverse showing clothed male bust facing right with surrounding legend: "JOH.DERK van der CAPELLEN tot den POL besch. in de Ridd. van OVER-YSSEL." Reverse features inscription at center, with coat of arms above and cornucopia with agricultural implements below: "De nyvre landman juicht/zyn Vryheid is hersteld!/CAPELLEN zegepraalt/op baatzucht en geweld!/d. 1 nov. Ao. 1782."
