Description: 
Cusped edge cast iron name plate (cartouche) with raised printed text and four bolts attached to two wrought iron slats.
Gallery Label: 
According to accession records, this plate came from the gas tank in 21st Street between 1st Avenue and Avenue A, given to the donor by one of the wreckers on January 4, 1946, when the tank was demolished to make way for a housing development.
