Description: 
Amber bead necklace and fringe bracelet in case; 47 round and oval orange Turkish amber unfaceted beads strung as necklace. Bracelet comprises turned amber and amber beads strung to fringed metallic thread; thread broken; orange leather fitted case lined with ivory satin and taupe velvet; maker's mark printed under lid.

According to the accession notes and a handwritten note inside the case, this set was brought from Vienna by General Heny Rootes Jackson of Savannah when he was serving as Minister to Austria. Miss Erwin gave it to the Society in memory of Miss Sarah Mildred Cobb, aunt of the donor. General Jackson was the cousin of General Howell Cobb's cousin.
