Horizontal rectangular framed needlework picture; various colors of silk chenille on white satin, representing a basket of flowers; black border painted on glass with inner eglomise border, with the initials "E A" at the bottom; gilt wooden frame.

This needlework picture was embroidered by Eliza Anthony, daughter of Joseph Anthony (1762-1814) and Henrietta Hillegas. Her maternal grandfather, Michael Hillegas, was the first treasurer of the U.S. Her father was a silversmith who worked on Market Street in Philadelphia from 1783.
