Olive drab wool militia officer's double-breasted overcoat; double collar and lapels; shoulder loops which button at the collar end; 3 buttons down the front on each side; vertical pocket on each side at the hip; 2 panels on the back, 2 straps which button at the center near the waistline, bottom of skirt is split and fastens together with 2 buttons; all buttons made of horn; inside lined with copper-colored satin, horizontal slit pocket at the right breast.

This overcoat was worn by Lincoln T. Miller in World War II, when he served in North Africa and France with the 44th Anti-aircraft Brigade, 7th Regiment, New York National Guard.
