stamped: on the underside of the handle: "S" in a circle with wings, "STERLING" and "THEODORE B. STARR" engraved: on the underside of the handles: "LBS" in script
silver oyster fork with a downturned oval handle with an all over foliate design; underside of the handle engraved, "LBS" in script; three pointed tines; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handle.
Gallery Label: 
LBS is Louise Bancker Stafford (1860-1934), who married William Howard Gilder in 1881.
