Patinated metal and glass paper clip (part of desk set) consisting of two rectangular sections connected with spring mechanism; top section a metal panel enclosing mottled green glass and cut with design of leaves and vines; bottom panel solid metal with beaded edge.

The "Etched Metal and Glass" desk set, as it was called in Tiffany Studios' 1920 catalog, was one of more than fifteen desk set patterns offered at the Tiffany Studios' showrooms. Patterns included as many as thirty different pieces, allowing clients to customize their own sets.
