Parasol with double-ball ivory ferrule, black lace over peach silk shade, collapsible ivory shaft with sliding metal collar, and tapered ivory handle with relief carving.

According to the accession records, this "carriage parasol" belonged to Mrs. Minerva Eagle, wife of Commodore Henry Eagle, U.S.N. It was received with its original box and the card of the maker.
