On Friday, January 19 the Library will close at 2:30 pm and the Museum will close at 6 pm. On Saturday, January 20 the Museum will open at 3 pm.

The subject was born in Brookfield, Vermont, the son of Noah and Polly (Corley) Paine. He died in Greenfield, New York, on April 10, 1830. Mountains in the background of this portrait such an upstate location. The portrait was a gift to the Society from the subject's granddaughter.
